Hi,
Don’t listen to anyone who says it’s not possible. Thousands – probably millions – of couples have got back together after a split, and stayed together.
As to how you do it, well, there are so many ways and it all depends on what kind of person you are, and your ex is, the nature of your relationship and what you both want to happen.
The main points seem to be
1. Never plead, or beg, your ex to return. This would put you in a position of weakness, where you’re a person nobody needs.
2. Accept for the moment that the split has happened, give your ex some space (which he will welcome most likely), and think long, or at least intermediate, term. Plan for getting your ex back over a period of anything up to three or four months, if necessary.
3. Be prepared to accept the blame (even if it’s not entirely your fault). Tell friends that it’s your fault and you don’t blame him for leaving, but that you screwed up badly and you want him back. Word will get back to him indirectly, and that can only be a good thing.
4. Maintain your composure and act as if you’re quite prepared to move on from the relationship if need be. Your ex will probably be impressed with your strength of character, and that alone will make you more desirable to him.
5. Write your ex a letter. Even if you normally don’t write letters. Don’t text or send an email. Write a proper letter on expensive (looking) writing paper. Say you accept the breakup and that you’re sorry for your part in it. Important – express the hope that you can both remain friends. Then say you propose not to contact him again for a month (unless there’s any special reason, e.g. children, mutual business affairs, why you have to) but after that you may just write as a friend. That will take the pressure off him, and he will probably be looking forward to you contacting him again.

My ex and I have been off and on for a few years. She first couldn’t let go of her ex. We started something before she had moved on. We finally got past that and then were together some time before we talked about getting engaged. Well, I didn’t get her a ring and she moved out to prove a point. I didn’t chase her, and a few months went by and she met someone else. She has been with him off and on for the last 6 months. Over the last 2 months we have been back together off and on for short spurts then she goes back to him. Well, this time I finally got her a ring and asked if that is what she wanted. She said yes. I knew she wasn’t over her last bf but was willing to work. He calls her all the time and she has his numbers stored on her cell phone. I even hear his voice on her voicemail message. I approached her about that and she still hasn’t changed it. Today we talked and she said that he doesn’t even know she has a ring. Not sure why that matters. So, I am at a loss knowing that everytime we try to get together it is some reason or another that we can’t make it work. She talks about the future with me but we can’t seem to make it last. I don’t understand what her problem is. What do I do with her?
Kick her to the curb, she is just using you and you need to find someone who can appreciate you without whoring herself out to other guys.

You good sir, need to hit the bars, and find meaningful (if only for a night) companionship, to set your mind off your lost love. I mean come on man! What’s the use in pining for someone who deliberately ignores you? You need to move on, and rejuvenate yourself in the fountains of debauchery!

i wrote this song for an amazing girl i spent five years with the day after we broke up.. it has been 3 years since then and she has not once listened to it.. and so BGT is the way i can make her listen to it at least once..
i do not wish for us to get back together as we are different people now from then and we lead separate lives but it would be nice for me to know that she has listened to it at least once in her life after spending so long playing it to thousands of people all over the world!!
i hope you guys understand how hard this song is for me to sing.. and i know i go a little wrong but that is becaus i find it hard to sing

What is going through my EX’s head! what can i do? Why would my ex bf get off with his new partner in front of me in bar, when we bumped into each other? But couldn’t stop starring across in my direction all night, and giving evils to the person i was out with that night, who happend to be a friend. Really confusing behaviour! Sounds like he’s trying to fit back into your life without being too overly obvious about it. The question is do you want him back? If you do then return his dvd and go from there. Sounds like the dvd is just an excuse to see you/be alone with him again. Decide if you want to get back with him but remember exes are exes for a reason. Be wary of his intentions and take it slow…

Don’t listen to that guy above, it’s just foolish advertisement. The easiest way to get a boyfriend to stay away from you is to either keep ignoring him or completely smother him. I like to chase guys saying I want to have lots and lots of babies and get married and be together forever and ever … hey, where are you going, come back here I looooooove you!!!! That usually scares them away.
But I’d try the ignoring. Takes less energy.
