something similiar has happened to me, with the boyfriend that i am with right now. i had feelings for a guy i worked with for about 7 months and then met my current boyfriend. the guy i had just met and didn’t have feelings for confessed to having feelings for me but i started dating the guy i had feelings for even though i knew the other guy {my now boyfriend} had feelings for me. the guy that i liked and i broke up about a month later and my current boyfriend {thought he wasnt at the time} still had feelings for me and i realized i had feelings for him too.
i realized that i had messed up big time. i told the guy {my current boyfriend} how sorry i was for not choosing him and confessed my feelings for him. it took a while, but after talking to him every day all day long and letting him know i liked him, he eventually forgave me and now we’re dating.
so basically, just let whoever you want to be with know how sorry you are and that you do have feelings for them and maybe it’ll work out for you. and be patient! it took me over three weeks to get with my current boyfriend because he was bitter about me choosing the other guy over him in the first place. you simply cannot rush these things or chances are you will lose the person you have feelings for.
